Don't Get Tense Level A1/A2

The game «Don’t Get Tense» Level A1/A2 aims to train the first three verb tenses: Present Simple, Present Continuous, Past Simple, both making them (e.g. the Present Simple with –s for 3rd person singular) and using them correctly. These are the tenses that a learner of English at level A1 / A2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is supposed to master.

Step by step the correct use of these tenses is trained: first how the tenses are made up, then by making the same sentence negative or interrogative and finally by choosing the correct tense with an indicator like always , now, yesterday …

The game can be played at various levels, depending on the spinner card (its coloured side with indication of the tense that must be used or the back side with indicators like always, now, yesterday,… ) and the additional AFFIRMATVE, NEGATIVE, INTERROGATIVE cards.

The game can be played by 2-5 players and consists of 2 double sided spinner cards, 2 spinners, 20 WHO cards, 20 WHAT cards, 20 WHERE cards, 20 AFFIRMATIVE/NEGATIVE/INTERROGATIVE cards and a cardholder.

Over 70.000 sentences can be made by combining the cards, sentences that will bring a smile to your face or may make you roar with laughter, so no more reason TO GET TENSE ABOUT THE VARIOUS TENSES OF VERBS IN ENGLISH!
